The GoodWorx Foundation Scholarship Program
In 2006, The GoodWorx Foundation established the John Mercier Scholarship Fund at New Jersey
City University. This scholarship has been committed through the year 2010.
We have a goal to distribute an additional 2 scholarships in 2008. These scholarships will be based on need, merit, and
participation in GoodWorx Events and programming. For more information on our Scholarship programs and to download an application,

Goals
 Programming:
- Expand after-school MTC Program to four schools (two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school)
- Expand participation in MTC after-school programming to reach 250 students
- Extend programming to include middle school to high school transition for 8th and 9th grade students
- Develop MTC after-school program in one elementary school in Broward County Florida
- Expand NCAA CHAMPS Life Skills program to include 100 New Jersey City University students
Fund Raising:
- Successfully raise $250,000 via grants, donations, and fundraisers within the 2007-2008 calendar year.
- $50,000 will support the direct cost associated with one 10-month MTC after-school program.
- $25,000 will support the recruitment, training, and daily operational costs for 25 mentors for a period of one year.
- $10,000 will support a new high school transition program for 8th and 9th graders.
- $5,000 will support two partial college scholarships for GoodWorx program participants.
- $1,000 can sponsor one child for an entire year of GoodWorx after-school programming.
- $500 will help purchase arts, crafts, and recreation supplies for one program.
